Staff / Lead Backend Engineer (Node.js / NestJS, AI & Agentic Systems)

For the project that we are working on with our partner, we are looking for Staff / Lead Backend Engineer (Node.js / NestJS, AI & Agentic Systems). Your Duties Will Include Designing backend architecture for a scalable productDeveloping and maintaining backend services in Node.js / NestJSLeading technical and architectural decisionsBuilding event-driven systems and queue-based processingEnsuring security, observability, and high code qualitySupporting AI/LLM integrations on the backend sideUsing AI/agentic coding tools in day-to-day development work Requirements That Must Be Met 7+ years of production backend experience,Strong production experience with Node.js / TypeScript and NestJS,PostgreSQL: query plans, indexes, transactions, raw SQL when needed, not only ORM,Async/event-driven systems: queues, retries, idempotency, job processing,Security: OAuth 2.0, RBAC/ABAC, OWASP, audit logs, secrets, permission boundaries,Multitenancy / data isolation / RLS-style patterns,Writing ADRs and leading architectural decisions,Experience with agentic coding, combined with a very strong quality mindset.Very good English and Polish Nice To Have Experience building systems at real scale: high traffic, large user base, high availability,OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, structured logging, dashboards, alerting,Cloud experience (preferably GCP/GKE),Stripe / payments,Backend-level LLM integrations.
