Senior Engineer (AI Enablement & Developer Experience)

- For our client we are looking for Senior Engineer (AI Enablement & Developer Experience). - Client is the emerging leader in the $100B+ cloud communications platform (CPaaS) market. Customers like Airbnb, Viber, Whatsapp, Snapchat, and many others depend on our APIs and SDKs to connect with their customers all over the world. As businesses continue to shift to a real-time, customer-centric communications model, we are experiencing a time of impressive growth. - Why this role matter. - The Engineering team at Client is a fast-growing group of talented engineers. They face multiple challenges associated with high performance, distributed systems and processing large volumes of data in real time. - The client's tooling team builds the tools, collects metrics and generates insights that help our Engineering department work on a better platform, improving engineering productivity, delivery efficiency and developer experience. - Some of these tools are built around client's IDP/service catalog and work along the whole SDLC. They are also responsible for AI adoption across the company, evaluating and rolling out AI tooling and practices that make our engineers more productive. - Client's team works on an exciting mix of both greenfield and existing projects, giving engineers the opportunity to explore new technologies and have a direct, visible impact on how the whole Engineering department works. ## This is how we work - in house - you have influence on the choice of tools and technologies - you have influence on the technological solutions applied - you have influence on the product ## Your responsibilities - Design, build and maintain tools and platform services that support the Engineering organization's developer experience and productivity - Collect, analyze and surface engineering metrics and insights that help teams and leadership make data-informed decisions - Build and evolve our service catalog and Internal Developer Platform (IDP) capabilities to improve governance, self-service and consistency across engineering teams - Propose scalable, maintainable and cost-effective solutions for internal tooling and platform problems - Evaluate, adopt and help roll out AI-assisted tools and practices across the engineering organization and stay current on developments in AI-assisted software development - Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback to peers and actively contribute to maintaining a high standard of code quality and development practices - Contribute to documentation of components, design patterns and the design system to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members - Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies (including AI/ML tooling) and share knowledge with the team to continuously improve our development processes and standards - Partner with engineering teams to identify high-value AI-assisted development use cases, define adoption practices, measure productivity impact and turn successful experiments into repeatable engineering standards. - Good coding skills and understanding of software engineering principles - Solid experience across the full SDLC - Hands-on experience in DevOps practices/platform engineering - Genuine interest in AI tooling and practices, with a willingness to learn, experiment with and help adopt new AI-assisted technologies across the engineering organization - Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools to improve engineering workflows, with the ability to evaluate tool effectiveness, identify adoption patterns and guide teams on practical, responsible usage. - Comfort working with metrics, observability and data pipelines to turn raw signals into actionable insights - Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Operations and Product Management to ensure seamless integration of new tools and services with a focus on reliability, scalability and performance - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. ## Optional - Experience building and operating internal tools, platforms or developer-facing services. - First hand knowledge of Continuous Deployment tools and methodologies. ## What we offer - Contract: B2B directly with US company - Rate: up to 170 PLN / h - 100% remote - Polish time zone - Polish public holidays - Recruitment process: 1-2 technical calls ## Recruitment stages - 1-2 technical calls ## Tech Stack - Microservices architecture - Go, Java, Python, TypeScript, etc.. - AWS - Docker, Kubernetes - Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack - CI/CD platforms and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. ArgoCD, Helm, Crossplane, Terraform) - AI-assisted developer tooling
