Senior AI Engineer (f/m/x)

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join a long-term project delivered for a global leader in the banking sector. As part of a highly skilled international team, you will contribute to the development of innovative AI and Machine Learning solutions, transforming the Credit & Lending area for corporate and institutional clients worldwide. Your tasks Write and maintain exemplary, high-quality, testable, and reusable codeLead the design of AI/ML solutions, ensuring they are scalable, robust, and aligned with the platform's visionOwn the engineering execution for significant parts of our AI flagship projects, from technical design through to production deploymentCo-author and champion coding standards and AI best practices to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability across our modelsCo-drive technical strategy by evaluating and prototyping new technologies, such as advanced RAG techniques, LLM optimization, and agentic architecturesCollaborate extensively with stakeholders across the AI Programmes, translating business requirements into technical solutions and communicating complex ideas to diverse audiencesDevelop and implement sophisticated solutions using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases to unlock insights from complex financial data Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in software or ML engineeringDeep expertise in Python and its ML/AI ecosystemFamiliarity with relational databases, vector databases, KV stores (Redis), Pub/Sub Strong command of microservices architecture, observability, API design, and concurrency modelsExpert-level understanding of LLM architectures and extensive experience fine-tuning models on domain-specific dataHands-on mastery of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), advanced prompt engineering, and designing agentic architecturesIn-depth knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and NLPProficiency with Azure or GCP, containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools, e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GCP Cloud BuildPractical experience in TDD and BDDExceptional presentation and communication skills in EnglishResiding in Poland required Nice to have Leadership or architectural experienceFamiliarity with Java for occasional middleware and integration tasks Job no. 260514-8DC49 Sii ensures that all hiring decisions are made solely on the basis of qualifications and competence.
