Director AI Engineering

We support clients in transforming commercial decision-making through enterprise AI, Agentic AI, and data-driven solutions. - As a (Senior) Director AI Engineering, you will shape the strategic direction of our AI Engineering practice while leading large-scale AI transformation programs for global clients. You will combine commercial leadership, technical expertise, and people leadership to build scalable AI capabilities, develop innovative AI offerings, and expand Simon-Kucher's market position in enterprise AI. Working closely with senior client executives, partners, technology providers, and multidisciplinary teams, you will drive the adoption of AI at scale while growing both our client relationships and our AI Engineering capabilities. ## Your responsibilities - Define enterprise AI strategies, operating models, and AI transformation roadmaps for global clients. - Advise executive stakeholders on the adoption of Agentic AI, Generative AI and enterprise architecture. - Lead multiple AI transformation programs while ensuring delivery excellence across complex client engagements. - Build and grow long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to expand AI engagements. - Drive commercial growth by shaping proposals, developing new AI offerings, and contributing to business development activities. - Lead multidisciplinary teams of AI engineers, consultants, and technology specialists while fostering a high-performance culture. - Establish engineering standards, AI operating models, governance frameworks, and reusable methodologies across projects. - Drive capability development through thought leadership, reusable intellectual property, accelerators, and innovation initiatives. - Collaborate with strategic technology partners and contribute to Simon-Kucher's long-term AI strategy and market positioning. - You have 7+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Software Engineering, or Applied AI. - You have a university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - You combine strong AI expertise with commercial experience across pricing, sales, marketing, and customer experience. - You have experience in leading technical projects and take on ownership of technical solutions. - You have strong people leadership experience and enjoy coaching, developing, and growing technical teams. - You have demonstrated success in business development, proposal development, and expanding client relationships. - You have knowledge of Power Automate or similar workflow automation platforms. - You are strong in Python, including API development and integration patterns. - You have deep hands-on experience delivering LLM-based solutions (RAG, tool calling, agentic workflows) with LangChain and/or LangGraph or similar AI orchestration frameworks. - Experience with Azure ecosystem (AI Foundry, Container Apps, Functions). - You communicate clearly in English (C1+) and can align technical decisions with business constraints. ## What we offer - A stable employment contract (please note that we do not offer B2B contracts). - Private medical insurance in the highest package fully paid by the employer (VIP Allianz). - Multisport card fully financed by the employer. - Annual bonus (dependent on the evaluation). - Employee referral program. - Remote work subsidy of €500 to start, then monthly bonus for utilities. - International Travel Safety card. - Access to LinkedIn Learning and Headspace. - Employee Assistance Program (EAP). - Microsoft Workplace Discount Program. - Access to an online platform offering exclusive discounts and special offers from well-known brands. - Birthday book for the employee. - Internal Learning&Development Department with more than 5 000 different training courses. - Our office is pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry friend to work and enjoy their company throughout the day! - Extended Business Travel Option - opportunity to extend your business trips and stay a little longer to explore some of Europe’s most exciting cities. ## Benefits - sharing the costs of sports activities - private medical care - sharing the costs of professional training & courses - remote work opportunities - flexible working time - integration events - mobile phone available for private use - computer available for private use - extra social benefits - sharing the costs of tickets to the movies, theater - holiday funds - employee referral program - Meeting with Recruiter - Technical Interview / Coding Challenge - Case Interview - AI Engineering / Data Science Interview - Partner Interview ## Please remember to submit your application in English. - Other applications will not be considered.
