We are looking for a talented AI Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing multidisciplinary AI Team. In this role, you will work with state-of-the-art deep learning technologies alongside highly qualified specialists in drug discovery. You will contribute to shaping Selvita’s internal AI strategy and help transform operational workflows using Large Language Models.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing LLM-based solutions, including RAG pipelines, to automate internal workflows and extract insights from preclinical data
- Applying AI-driven approaches to chemical space exploration
- Developing models for chemical reaction prediction and retrosynthesis
- Using generative methods to support drug design and optimization
- Collaborating with teams across Selvita to understand their workflows and identify opportunities for artificial intelligence and automation
Your Background
- Master’s or PhD degree, preferably in machine learning, statistics, computer science, cheminformatics, bioinformatics, computational chemistry, physics or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of modern machine learning and artificial intelligence methods
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, with a focus on LLMs
- Advanced Python programming skills, including experience with deep learning frameworks and GPU acceleration for AI applications; knowledge of other programming languages would be an advantage
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
- Proven experience with GitLab and containerization tools
- Fluent professional and scientific English
Additional skills considered an advantage:
- Background in bioinformatics, computational biology or life sciences
- Basic knowledge of KNIME, R Shiny or other deployment tools
