## This is how we work - in house - agile ## Your responsibilities - Frontline Support: Act as the escalation point for automated deployment pipelines and installation scripts. - Deployment Issue Triage: Monitor, investigate, and manage incoming tickets generated during the hardware and software bootstrapping phases. - Log & Metric Analysis: Dive into installer logs, operating system metrics, and orchestration workflow histories to determine why a deployment or hardware qualification step failed. - Software Diagnosis: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve software-related deployment failures, containerization glitches, or configuration issues (e.g., DHCP, PXE boot, network services). - Hardware & Firmware Escalation: Identify issues rooted in faulty hardware, outdated firmware, or physical networking constraints, and efficiently route/escalate them to the appropriate hardware engineering or data center technician teams. - Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Update runbooks, diagnostic playbooks, and error resolution guides to streamline future deployment. - Collaboration: Act as the bridge between software development, DevOps, and hardware operations teams to drive rapid resolution of blockers. - Linux/OS Administration: Strong proficiency navigating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues in Linux environments. - Networking Fundamentals: Good understanding of IP networking, DNS, DHCP (DHCPv4/DHCPv6), and network diagnostics. - Hardware & Firmware Knowledge: Familiarity with server components, BMCs (Baseboard Management Controllers), BIOS, and basic physical infrastructure (NICs,switches). - Containerization & Orchestration: Practical experience troubleshooting in Kubernetes environments (e.g., K3s, custom distributions), CNI plugins, and workload scheduling. - Ticketing & Tracking Systems: Experience using ticket systems to manage, escalate, and organize operational tasks. - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to distinguish between software/configuration issues and physical hardware failures. - Incident Management: Ability to work well under time-sensitive deployment deadlines (Tier 2 response environments). - Cross-Timezone Collaboration: Ability to pass off tasks smoothly to global counterparts at the end of a shift (handoff reporting). - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field 2+ years of computer networking experience - 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience ## Optional - Bootstrap/Deployment Experience: Experience with netboot/PXE installation processes, or unattended server installation setups. - Containerization & Orchestration: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or workflow orchestration tools. - Automation/Scripting: Ability to write or interpret basic scripts (Bash, Python) to assist with automated diagnostics. - DCIM/IPAM Tools: Prior experience working with tools like NetBox or other DCIM/Inventory management systems ## What we offer - We offer a full-time employment contract - Location – Cracow; work model – hybrid - Stable and long-term cooperation - Well-defined career path at the European leader in engineering & IT consulting - Opportunity to relocate and work in different ALTEN Polska branches - After completion of the project, opportunity to engage in a subsequent one within the company - Introduction and cooperation with dedicated Competences Manager - We also offer cooperation based on a B2B or Contract of mandate (UZ). - We also guarantee: - Access to professional certifications with our technology partners (e.g. Google, ISTQB) - Access to relevant industry events - Access to the Knowledge Sharing Program - Access to Referral program - life insurance - retirement pension plan - baby layette - employee referral program - Medicover medical care - Medicover dental care - Medicover Benefits platform - Medicover Sport card - NOTICE: We kindly inform you that we will contact the selected candidates. ## ALTEN Polska - ALTEN – A Global Leader in Engineering and IT Services - Founded in France in 1988, the ALTEN Group is a leading technological partner serving the world’s largest clients.
